I wonder, who came up with the standard structure for songs- [optional intro] verse, chorus, verse, chorus, refrain, chorus a few times. And why does everyone write songs this way? Is it like a rule or something, or so ingrained that people just don't even think to write another way? It doesn't even seem to matter what genre.

Got in an argument with an attorney about what "plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2014" meant. I won (because I was right), but I don't think attorneys like being outsmarted by their secretaries. I at least had another attorney back me up on it.

Day 03 - Your favorite new show (aired this TV season)
I have nothing for this. I think the last tv show I started watching from its inception was Desperate Housewives.

How is that phrase difficult to interpret? *boggles* Go you with your smartness!

And I have this sneaky feeling that the structure may be the Greeks' fault. I have no good reason for thinking this way, just a hunch I have.

Well, our plan years start on September 1. And, for example, the plan year that began on September 1, 2009 is referred to as Plan Year 2010 (since most of the PL is in 2010, or something like that). Attorney had "Plan Year 2015" in mind, which would be correct, but thought it began on September 1, 2015.

September
