This was so interesting. You've also given me some cues on what to watch next. Looks like I really need to get around to watching Band of Brothers.

You knew this was coming though... :D

You're lack of ability to keep apart German actors is truly shocking. :p My girl at least already knows to recognize Daniel Brühl.

The quality of German cinema back in the early 80’s was a little lacking (no offense).

Except when they were shooting "Das Boot"? ;)

I can tell German actors apart, I just figured most people reading this wouldn't recognize the names. :P

I was thinking Das Boot was late 80's for some reason. Maybe I've just seen a bunch of crappy movies and none of the good ones. My German profs always managed to find the worst films.

Ditto. Though stop after the first movie. The second is not anywhere as good, and the third should be used as a torture device. I've never been able to make it through.
