Day 26 - OMG WTF? Season finale


Queer as Folk Season 1 finale. There's no way I can talk about why this episode was so OMG WTF without spoilers, so be warned. First I will say this- this show maybe isn't the greatest on earth, as it has a habit of dropping plotlines within 2 episodes, but it's kind of fun. This episode though, was for sure a good one. And the first few episodes of season 2 that followed up what we got here- oh man. This particular arc did wonders for Brian's character and made him from just a complete asshole to someone you could actually like.

And now onto why this ep was so OMGWTF
Forget the Michael arc, his boyfriend is totally lame and I'm glad they replaced him.
This episode starts off feeling like your typical prom episode. Which makes the loop they throw you for hit you harder.
First it's typical teen angsty on Justin's part. Then it's happy, because Brian actually does decide to show up at the prom. Awww. (The dance was such a great scene.)

Then in the last 5 minutes of the show, Justin gets his head bashed in. And you're on the edge of your seat going HOSHIT NO! And the ep just ends with Brian holding a bloody scarf in the hospital not knowing if Justin is dead or not. I was immediately like "omg, must watch next ep now, I cannot stand the suspence! What happened???"

Then we find out in season 2 that Brian still wears the bloody scarf, which is so fucked up, but says so much to his emotion state having gone through all this.
