Why is it on the West Wing that the first thing any Republican seems to mention is guns? I've hobnobbed with a few Republican politicians in my day, and while it is a popular topic in Texas, I don't ever recall anyone from Michigan talking about gun rights. Hollywood stereotypes I guess.
I found an interesting article on that the other day, about TWW's perception of the right. The guy who wrote it is obviously very right wing, but I think he made an interesting point, both about political preconceived notions and that stereotypes certainly aren't always the norm in the real world.
If anyone has any more analytical articles on TWW, I'd be interested in reading them. Fictional politics is so much easier to debate than real politics.
Alex is sending a little rain our way, though really not much to speak of. Two inches maybe.

My icon likes her gun!
That said, there definitely are Republican stereotypes in TWW. Out of curiosity, how far along are you, since it seems we're getting into this show at the same time? Have you met Ainsley yet? So far, I kind of adore her. And she's a Republican. :)
