Mt. Ranier

The view from our hotel

Some sort of text art in front of the library

Medieval looking mural

Canada Place

Floating gas station

View to North Vancouver

Olympic torch!

from above

Pixelated whale

Grass covered roof (I'd hate to be the guy that mows that)

I keep thinking this guy is gonna start moving and leave a wake of destruction in his path.

Canada eh

Bard!

AJ poster!

Pronounce that, I dare you

Totem pole inside the Museum of Vancouver

One of the many many harbors around Vancouver

Terry Fox

Capilano Suspension Bridge

Right before I knew what I was getting myself into

a nurse log

Lots of really tall trees

More tall trees

Looking down from up in a tree

treetop walk

Ridiculously tall flower

Falcon, though I don't remember the specific kind

Statues on top of Grouse Mountain. The basketball player should be curling instead, yes/yes?

Also on Grouse Mountain. Deer was too busy eating to notice a bunch of people standing only five feet away. Closest I've ever gotten to a deer that wasn't running in front of my car.

The Vancouver Death Star!
Okay, actually just the science museum.

Lego car!

Lion's Gate Bridge (this was the only photo I had time to snap on my blade around the park)

Bald eagle's nest

Bald eagle in a tree. In downtown Vancouver. I was fascinated, so I circled the tree trying to get the best view.

Yearlings. Noisy little buggers.

Eagle #4 in the same tree. Bald eagles are like men, they go "bald" as they get older.

More art. There's a lot of it along the seawall.

Seat of British Columbia's government.

The Empress, ritzy hotel in downtown Victoria

Stained glass orca

Craft vendors along the pier

Darth Vader playing the violin.

Me and a moose

Totem poles inside the Royal BC Museum (sorry it's a little dark, I didn't want to use a flash

Sunken garden. Part of the Butchart Gardens

This fountain did all sorts of things, it was fun to watch.

This is sort of how I picture George, except with grey fur instead of leaves.

The Inukchuk. (You may recognize it from the Olympics.) It does exist!

Seals!

Seals will stare at you.

More bald eagles

Whale!

Baby whale!

Sea Lions. The wet looking one kept getting shoved off.

Crooke shot of Vancouver. I couldn't get a straight one because the boat was so bouncy.

Bye bye Canada :(

Whales! Oh, they're magnificent.

And I envy you your zoom lens.

ETA: That was meant to go to the main post, not reply to your comment. Silly me hit the wrong link due to excitement over the magnificence of whales.

Great pictures! The kids and I looked at them together- Toby is very taken with the pictures of seals, bald eagles, and killer whales. (he knew it was a killer whale as soon as he saw the first picture, with just the dorsal fin.)

Thanks for sharing!

Awesome!

It's ironic; you may have seen more bald eagles in Canada than I've seen in the US--and I've been to Yellowstone and most of the other touristy spots.

Anyway, I think you just added a new city to my list of places to see before I die. Thanks for sharing!

I wow, you went... everywhere! How great for you to see a baby whale jumping! But you couldn't pay me enough to go out on the Capilano Suspension Bridge, uh uh no way.

Hee! Legos and whales and Death stars! Looks like you had a great time! I think of you of part fangirl and part adventurer! Watching AJ at night and by day defeating the imperial army on Endor by attacking from a suspension bridge!

Hee. :-) This is why I write fanfic. Your pics were like prompts! Thanks for sharing it with us.
