(no subject)

My calves are killing me today. Plus I have a huge blister on my small toe, so I've had to wear flip-flops all day. Got my UVA id, plus went to the DMV where thankfully their system was running today and I was able to apply for a driver's license. I *think* that takes care of all the administrative stuff. Not having to set up cable/utilities is convenient.

I still haven't gotten around to the bsgficexchange fics. Hopefully I can read some before I start school and will be buried in law textbooks. I really have zero idea how much time studying will really take, because all I ever hear is "a lot". I'm sort of ready to just start school and get worrying over with. I would drop by the school today to see if section assignments are up, but I think the 2Ls are doing on-site interviews today, and I don't want to be in the way. I was really hoping that information would be *online*, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Good luck with the beginning of law school!

What are 2Ls?

In law school, the different years are referred to as Ls (as opposed to freshmen, sophmores, etc.). 2Ls are second years, I will be a 1L

Ah! Thanks. Handy detail to know, This is true of all law schools or just yours?

It's true of all law schools.

I wish I could give you a better indication than "a lot," but that's really all I've got, too. The good news is, the first semester is the hardest, so it's all downhill from there. The best thing to do is over-study a bit that first semester and then gradually back off as you figure out how much time you really need to put into it and which study methods work best for you (because the temptation is to do *all* of them at first).
