You knew it was coming. :)
I got back here at aboyt 9:30 my time. The game went for 2 and a half hours but it sure didn't feel that long. I didn't want it to end!
If you've seen the celeb list, it was wrong. No Anna Nicole thank god, and no Benji Madden, but we did get Donald Faison and Taye Diggs. :) Even the program was wrong on who was there.
JC and Lance were on the Knights and Justin, Joey, and Chris were on the Daze. Here's a surprise for you- the KNIGHTS won. 98- something, I couldn't see the scoreboard. I wannna say 87 or 89.
JC was JSizzle, Joey was Phat-One, Chris was Tricky, and Lance was just Lance. Justin had a white tshirt on over his jersey the whole time so I don't know his nickname or number. Lance was 4, Chris I didn't take note of, and Joey and JC were both 28 (their age. not very creative eh?) They were auctioning off some signed items, including Pop Odyssey Tour outfits (mostly JC's. you know he's kept them all) which I would have placed a bid on had they not been opening at $500.
Tony Lucca did a pretty good job pregame, he sang 2 songs. I was hoping we might get to see a little JC action in there, but alas none. For the national anthem they brought out 5 mics....I got sooo excited. Then- some local glee club. Damn them for toying with me. Game starts and we get some great boy interaction between Joey/Jc and then JC/Chris. Chris was guarding JC and slammed into him- gave him a bloody nose! But we got a great moment out of it- a boy hug! Chris isn't done yet and tries to pull down JC's pants (unsuccessfully unfortunately ;) ) to which JC does some little booty dance type thing guarding him.
Did I mention Chris' outfit? Plaid shorts and black socks. Oh Chris you never cease to amuse me.
Lance didn't play at all first half. Joey took over as announcer at some point during 2nd quarter and kept the duty for a while. Halftime perfomer- Baby Bash. He was good, I really like 'I'm Back' and he did well with it.
Anflonso what's his name...did the Carlton dance as he came out. :) He also busted out some Michael Jackson moves during the dance contest at halftime. The winner of the audience dance contest was this 10 year old boy. It was cute watching Justin as he came out to dance with him, then picked him up when he won. Oh- Justin, Joey, and Chris, not to be outdone at introductions by JC and Lance (Knights were introed first), came out all 3 at once. The announcer (Billy Bush. Johnny Wright was announcing too, but not much) goes "and now coming out as a team..." Yay boy love :)
Ran into Dizmo while I was out to get a drink of water at halftime. I was surprised I recognized her right away, considering I'd only seen pictures. She was at the meet and greet- I'm sure you'll get a nice long entry from her when she gets back. The two of us were standing like 2 feet from JC's dad at one point which I thought was pretty sweet until...
So Justin at one point got the mike from Joey. He was doing a play by play auctioneer style and making fun of the other team. It was especially great when they made fun of Aaron Carter "hey Aaron I bet your brother's better". Brain Urlacher (Chicago Bears) dunked at one point to which Justin goes, "stop the presses. stop the presses. this guy's a FOOTBALL player."
The guys suck at basketball, cept Justin as you know. JC has an arm on him though- he was throwing t shirts in the audience and was getting em up to the top row (most other people throwing barely hit halfway). I think Uralacher was lead scorer in the game, at least he was leading at halftime. Baby Bash was up there, as was Justin. Justin hit the money shot- literally. There's a spot on the court about at the halfline where if you hit from there $2500 automatically goes to charity. Justin hit it and we all went nuts.
Anyway back to 3rd quarter action.
Justin at the mike decides that it's time for Lance to play. So he starts saying "we want Lance. we want lance," to which all of naturally join in. Lance apparently was coach that night and didn't want to go in. He said to Justin, "the only way I'm getting in is if we're up by ten points." His team was losing at that point. But Justin of course does not give up and still keeps chanting away with all of us. JC then walks up to Lance, whispers something in his ear, and points to the crowd. I'm darn sure he said something like "dude, the fans want you in." So Lance went in. He wasn't in for long, but we got him in darnit. The whole time he was in Justin was saying" give the ball to Lance." He said the same for JC when he went in for Lance as well.
4th quarter Joey decides he wants Lance in again. Lance again refused. So Joey says "How much will it cost to get you in the game again?" I think $500 was the agreed amount. So Joey takes a box and goes around the whole audience collecting money. This is where you note-
So, as I said Knights won. How I don't know, but they did. I would have like to have seen a little more play time for the boys but hell just seeing all 5 of em out there made it totally worth every cent I paid. I had such a blast. And if I somehow cross by a scanner, there will be pictures! No one was checking for cameras at all so I got to take mine in and snap like 15 or so shots. (Yes, that's all I got. I missed a couple good opps but I tried to get as good of photos as I possibly could.) I'm happy that I got pictures period, since supposedly there were no cameras allowed. Yay pictures.

. Ahem. Sorry. But still...EEEEEEEEE! The whole Joey in the audience thing was the squee moment of the night. They started playing some Nsync songs in 4th period while he was going around, to which we were all singing, and I thought I heard Joey singing to as well, but I couldn't tell for sure. Not too long after Joey passed by me, he goes "Lance you better get out there man, someone came all the way from Mississippi to see you." Lance did get back in the game during 4th quarter, but Joey was collecting til the end of the game and about 10 seconds left he goes "Lance get you ass in there," twice. That was great.So, as I said Knights won. How I don't know, but they did. Man, there seemed to be a lot more fan interaction at this one than years past (and a lot less security). Perhaps the boys are missing their fans....
