8 days be damned, it's been less than a week. I am now officially roommate-less.
In the past two days I have obtained: a wireless router, a cabinet for my movies/video games, bread (for lunch, yo, I cannot go without bread), pots, pans, hot pads/oven mitt, super cheap clock radio for work, a vaccuum cleaner, 2 bar stools (this week only $35, like I'm gonna pass that up), additional hangers, a box of Kleenex, a small piece of wall art, and one very empty bank account.
Add that to the cutlery/utensil set and rice cooker I bought earlier this week, and you get the impression of all the stuff I've had to replace.
On my list for next time I get paid is a book shelf (yay books!), perhaps a small table for the router and whatever else to sit on by the couch, and a DVD/VCR combo. They were $70 at Target, which isn't bad at all. It's so old fashioned to want a VCR, but I still have a number of movies on VHS, plus my footage, yo. But both my computer and my Playstation play DVDs, so I'm not in a real rush on that one.
And yea, yea, what if my new roommate has all these things, but if I move to my own place sometime later, I'm gonna need them anyway.
At least I got to keep the couch.
