Ooo sweet! Lil Mama on stage! First time I've ever seen her dance, and she's definitely good.

Hype 5-0's girls look like Rainbow Brite. This may have been their best performance this week. Though I fail to see how they made the sticks "come to life" persay.

WTF is Lil Mama wearing?

I thought for sure Blueprint was going home this week, just because Jungle Boogie really put it out there. (hey, Blueprint was great too, but apparently no one outside of California votes for this damn show)

Final performances next week already?

Sexybot. Oh JC.

I'll be over here waving my little Canadian flag again. I really thought Blueprint Cru got into the disco style mixed with modern best this week. Especially without falling too far into cheese (like I felt Hype 5-0 did).

Ok, time to go home Saltare.

I was surprised by Poreotix. They actually *can* dance!

Dude, any day the BeeGees get airplay on MTV, that's pretty much made of win.

I feel for Heavy Impact, having to do lifts. Those guys just should not be having to lift each other.

Oh lord, Static Noyze just fell apart this week. That was ugly! (And I like A Fifth of Beethoven too)

Was that a little Cha Cha in Jungle Boogie's routine? Very nice! I also love that the girl lifted a guy.

EE JC singing! Like, 2 notes, but whatever. I'll take it!

Jungle Boogie, in true Usher style, drops trow on stage. I felt they were a little hard in parts for Usher, though over all it wasn't bad.

Lil Mama's green contacts are freaking me out.

Uh. Poreotix lost me. Big time. (You know what would've been sweet? If halfway through, they reversed and did the whole routine backwards.

I liked Hype 5-0 tonight but they were were....less than exciting? Bringing back from Break Skate! lol

"I love you honey, you're crazy." ♥♥♥

Ah, it's glad to see ABDC back to normal- lots of JC booing in the last couple episodes.

I'm all caught up on ABDC now. As I had expected, two of the south crews were the first to go. It was just obvious from the regionals that the south crews were not as good as everyone else (like the East, where I wanted to keep everyone). Royal Flush- the fact that you failed to make the show 4 times should be some indication. They're not terrible, but they try too hard and it shows.

I really want to like Heavy Impact, but I feel like they're never that crisp(y?). They're not completely syncronized through the whole performance, and they've fallen short of wowing me.

Wow, massive fail on the part of Saltare during music video week. I want to say they won't go far, but judging by the likes of groups like Break Skate, I think they'll end up top 5 at least.

I thought Jungle Boogie was a one trick pony too, but I've been pleasantly surprised by them.

And hate on them as much as you will, but I will be waving my little Canadian flag off in the corner. IMO, Blueprint Cru is the best crew this season by far.

I have this strange desire to rewatch Season 1 now.

I'm watching the last 2 ABDC eps...can we keep all the crews from the East and just get rid of the South? Even the South crews that qualified were blah to me, but all the East crews were really good.

Jump roping. Damn.

I liked Team Canada bringing in the Guns and Roses into their music, that was cool.

Though I'm glad Legendary 7 didn't make it. Eknock had his chance already, man. Plus, he was an asshole the first time around. :P
Also, I liked Ghost crew better than...whoever it was that won the South dance off. I forget their names already, that's how forgettable I found them.

Meat in the sandwich! Oh JC, we love you. I love him working in the word "cerebral" too.
And ya know, I gotta say, Lil Mama does get more intelligent as the seasons progress. We've gone from "that was tight" to "you guys have dimension". And hey, I wasn't as annoyed at Omarion as I thought I might be.

I finally got around to watching last week's ABDC. If We Are Heroes doesn't win, I will be disappointed. That fire performance was...I hate to use this word, but taking a cue from the judges...sick.

In case you missed it:

They even made JC cry!

Though ok, mostly, I haven't been posting recaps because this season was boring. Frankly I didn't care enough about any of the crews.

What's with Mario's shirt? He looks like a sailor.

I didn't think Afroborike was boring. Not as good as last week, yea, but not horrid.

Anyone getting Boogie Bots flashbacks with this challenge? Lol.

Oh JC! I love him when he gets all rambly and giggly. *million hearts*

Ahaha, Lil Mama says "swell". And JC mocks her. Love it.

Beat Ya Feet Kings suck. I'm sorry, but they do. They're stiff, and really sloppy.

Gotta agree with JC. The last two performances were the best of the night. Wow that guy in Southern Movement is good with a baton. I've tried twirling before, and it is a hell of a lot harder than it looks.

...Bollywood dancing? AHAHAHA YES! Disaster waiting to happen.

Now I'm picturing the crews trying to do this:

My asian club learned this dance for Images my freshman year. Yes, all 5 minutes and 20 seconds of it. It was fricking exhausting, but it was awesome. I wish I had video of it.

That's right ladies, it's that time again. Dance Cruuuuuu! Yeah!

Like most season premieres, I was generally underwhelmed. My favorite so far is Rhythm City. Not usually the style I'm drawn to, but they were the cleanest, most energetic crew tonight.
How much do I love that someone had the guts to dance to Dierks Bentley on opening night? Lots. This isn't America's Best Hip-Hop Crew, Shane. And Shane's face after Vogue Evolution? Priceless.

Go-go style = Fonzworth Bentley style dancing, yes? Or akin to Charlie Brown, either way you want to look at it.

Hey, none of the all girl crews are cheerleadery. What a novel concept. :D

I'd be mad that it moved to Sundays since everything else I watch is Sunday night, but I don't get MTV anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Tough call on ABDC. Beat Freaks has been excellent all season, but Quest was just way better tonight. Some of their moves just had me going !!

and I've always posted my pic365 pictures on Wednesdays, but I can't hold out on today's picture. I got a package from my parents today, and when I opened it, this is what was on top, broken, just like this:

The contents of the package? Girl scout cookies.
Mood:: 'amused' amused

Can I just say that I've been waiting for a "weird song" challenge since season 1? I think good dancers should be able to dance to anything.

JC getting all smart on us this episode! "Cognizant" *g*

Also, I love him getting all giggly and nostalgic after Strykers.

Oh Beat Freaks, fangirling over JC. I love JC's reaction.

I like Dynamic Edition this week. I thought they merged the country and whatever else well.

Ringmasters are idiots...I've taught 80 year old women how to macarena, it ain't that hard! Funny story, I used to have this sweatshirt that had this stick figure doing the macarena on it. (I was 10). I also had the song on tape, and still know all the words to this day.
I thought their reaction was pretty freaking hilarious though.

I actually liked Fly Kicks tonight. They were sassy and got the challenge down well.

They should bring in Joey as an expert next week. Since he did a magic trick in the middle of his foxtrot :)

So I'm watching the VMA dance off special. Why the heck did they have Lil Mama talk about Kaba's 4 Minutes performance? Um hello, I would think JC would be a bit more appropriate to talk about it, considering he's danced with Justin and all. :P Anyone else who watch that immediately think "Digital Get Down" with the sideways treadmill?

Break Sk8 is lookin good. They've gotten better, dare I say.
So Real was ok. Off in place I thought. I can't think of Forever without thinking of Comfort and Twitch's performance to it though.
Fanny Pak? Um, still awesome.
That guy from Status Quo is an asshole! wow. And it definitely showed on stage that they do not cooperate anymore.
Man I so want a mic at that judge's table, just to hear what they really have to say and debate about.

So Real's charity is the Texas Children's Hospital of Houston...[profile] roselily87, isn't that who you did the camp for?

I kind of want to go to the ABDC tour. October 23 in Houston anyone?
