Just because I'm curious.

I think it's totally a personal and individual choice. Whatever works for someone is fine with me. Of course, some people make good choices & some make poor choices. ;)

Gimme a beat! Love it!

Personal and individual choice, yep, and I do believe in marriage, surprisingly enough, after being married for almost 9 years. I guess that's a personal choice too, but I, personally, like the safety the justice system offers me as a married person. Shacking up with some guy and comingling finances is about as irresponsibile as you can get because there's no court that is going to sit there and shift through your ish if you break up.

Also, you can't really know anybody until you're married. And I think sex is best left until you're ready, committed, blah blah blah, keeping in mind that if you wait too long, studies say you can be really screwed up in the mind about it, which ends up working against you in your future sexual relationships.

Everybody who wants to have sex should go out there, find someone who wants to have it with them, use condoms and diaphrams and fire extinguishers and whatever else you've got on hand and have at it!

Hi. I usually do not reply to someone's comment in someone else's journal like this, so my apologies to puszysty, But keeping in line with the topic here, for sake of discussion, the point about if you wait too long you can "be really screwed up in the mind about it", that's interesting. I've heard/read that before. Is it usually because a person becomes intimidated about sex OR works it up so much in their mind they expect something that's going to blow them through the headboard (if there's a headboard), and once sex happens, and wasn't exactly what they worked it up to be, they're left slightly confused?

A very personal choice and I don't think people should be judged by their decisions. Currently I'm on the fence about my own personal viewpoints on this topic.
