I wouldn't have started with a poll but a questionaire. Most people will be a 'maybe' depending on where, when and how long. So I would have started by asking people where they think it should be held, to pick 'two' months that they would want it to happen in, and 'up to' how many days. THEN do a poll to narrow down the choices.

But that's just my opinion based on having taken part in trying to organize one of these things in the past. ;-)

And I can tell you right now that the cheapest place for flights and group accommodations for everyone to get to in NA is Las Vegas. ;-)

Having said all that, I would say 'maybe' depending on when and where it takes place. ;-)

I would love an American Camp Sparkle. I vote for driving distance because a) I'm poor and b) I have a husband and two children who can't seem to function with me gone for more than a couple of days... *snorts* Of course, I live on the East coast, so...

I'm kind of a maybe, too--I'd *love* to come hang out (especially if I didn't have to plan it!) but my schedule is so tight that it's difficult to say yes or no, all open-ended like that. But I'd love to think that I could come!

You know, if money and time off and so forth permitted, I would be quite tempted - and I don't live in North America. But I can't make any kind of solid commitment just yet.

A long while ago

joshysleo & I set up a community called

popmeet. Sadly, it never really got off the ground, but if it would be useful to you, we'd be happy to set you up as a Mod.

At the time, we were looking at a lodge type thing or renting a cabin somewhere between Northern Illinois and Northwestern Indiana. We were thinking being out, away from a big city and also renting off-season, we'd get a reasonable deal. Although, if you go that route we'd have to get people with cars to help shuttle the flyers in & out of the nearest airport.

There are a (very) few weekends where I have unchangable plans, but if it was close enough to drive to, or I could get a very cheap airfare, I'd be up for it! ;)

truekat. I love the whole idea of an American Camp Sparkle. I'm in the majority as far as it depends on the where, when, how long, and how much details. I can tell ya though, I would gladly provide some *NSYNC party supplies! lol I've been trying to sell them, so even if I don't go I can give you a deal and you can use 'em for some of the festivities. :)
