Got my admittance letter from Washington today. \o/

Seriously, how can you not root for a team with pants like these?

Has anyone ever asked you "what's your story?"? Every time I go to the singles meetup, someone asks me that. I never know how to respond, because how do you? Do you begin reciting your autobiography? It doesn't give you much of a jumpoff point for conversation.

Lindsey Vonn = overrated. One crash can happen to anybody, but 3 DNFs?

Canada is owning the podium like they wanted. :) 12 golds so far. I love it when they win gold, because you can hear the whole stadium belting out Oh Canada!

We are kicking butt in bobsled. Woo! Apparently it doesn't matter if your sled crashes, as long as all 4 people are still in it at the finish line. Your time will suck, but it will count.

If the US beats Canada in the hockey final, I'd advise all Americans living within 100 miles of the border to catch the quickest plane to Florida. Lol.

I'm kind of amazed at Bob Kostas' ability to adlib with Colbert and Fallon. Sports and comedic talent.

I've been waitlisted at the U of M. Which is better than being told no outright, I guess, but still not what I was hoping for.

I let the battery die on my ipod, and my computer seems to be recognizing it just fine now.

God, I hope it's not snowing in Philly when I am there. I am utterly terrified to drive in snow. One too many close calls.

Remind me to print out directions between Nova and UPenn. I am pretty certain I won't be attending Nova, but I'm visiting anyway. I haven't heard one way or the other from Penn yet. I'm frankly surprised I haven't heard anything since hearing from UVa, since UVa is more elite than some of the schools I haven't heard from. (It may sound snobby to want to be at an elite school, but I may consider becoming a law prof at some point, and if you look at a listing of professors at any law school, a good deal of them are ivy leaguers. I want my options as broad as possible.)
I'm expecting Michigan to take longer, and I have a feeling Stanford will tell me no, but why has Washington not sent me anything yet? :( I wish I would start hearing from more places, b/c I need to make a decision in April and would like to get in as many visits as possible in the meantime. It's March in 4 days, that doesn't leave me a lot of time.

My ipod froze and the reset is not working. :(

Question: If you're invited to a bridal shower, but can't make it, do you send a gift anyway, or just your well wishes? I am going to the wedding for this particular person.

The plus side? Everyone went home when it was still snowing heavily around lunch, so there was practically no traffic when I went home at 5. :D

One ice dance team skated to a mix of a Nocturne and Bohemian Rhapsody. I was really shocked to find that it works.
