The Healthcare Bill extended funding for abstinence-only education. *angry face*

Speaking of the Healthcare Bill, it's completely taken over my life as far as work goes, but I kinda like it because I finally have something to do at work. I go nuts if I'm not productive, and now I am. I also still have 2000 pages to review for notes and see what needs to be inputted into our system. Yay! (This is totally going on my resume, btw.)

April is in 2 days and still no word from UCLA.

Random question: are Tia Rosa chips a national brand or are they just a Texas thing? I saw them on sale about a month ago and decided to try them. I have been completely in love ever since.

I decided to do some preliminary apartment hunting in VA last night, mostly to get grips on pricing. Damn Charlottesville is expensive. That or I'm just used to living in places that are cheap. I may have to fly out again this spring and apartment hunt. Hopefully not.

It's funny how many random things that are kind of only marginally related to health care are in the Health Care Bill, eh? I don't know much, but I remember seeing some really nice adoption tax credits in it. Which is nice, but, you know, not so much health care. Anyway.

But you're happy with Virginia, right? California's crazy anyway. ;)

I haven't actually managed to read the bill, but I know there's certainly some interesting stuff in there. They're providing incentive funding to states that have programs to find alternatives to malpractice torts, which I think is a great idea (at least on paper). I should actually skim it sometime. At least they got rid of that silly Nebraska compromise.

Yes, I'm definitely set on VA. It may be the middle of nowhere, but I'll be spending most of my time studying anyway. :)

*head, meet desk*

I have never heard of Tia Rosa. You might be able to get them at specialty type stores?

Good luck in the housing search!

I'd recommend looking through http://www.apartments.com They have a pretty good search on that website, and you can kinda pick out which apartment you think you like, and then google search to find out reviews from people actually living there. That's how I found the apartment I'm currently in.
