Anyone willing to hedge bets on when I'll finally hear from UCLA? I'm calling May 1.

Also, for the Battlestar inclined, I've created a sticky post where I'm taking guesses as to which remix fic is mine (I won't say if it's posted yet or not). If you already know- that means you safenthecity and lls_mutant, you are not allowed to guess. Correct answers get a ficlet!

The bachelorette party I am planning on going to in May will include bar hopping in the Holland area. In other words: I get to relive college for a night! Woo! If we played Settlers of Catan afterwards, it really would be college all over again.

I bought a cute pair of white shoes today to go with my dress (black sandals weren't really gonna cut it with the dress I bought). I'm usually not much of a shoe shopper, but these ones just jumped out at me right away. There shall be pictures of the ensemble later. Let's just say it's very fitting for spring.

I fly out Friday morning for wedding #1 (not the one with the bachelorette party). I honestly can't say I've been this anxious to go home since I moved here. I don't even know why. You couldn't pay me a million dollars to ever move back there. Maybe I'm just going stir crazy. God knows why I'd want to fly again after that disaster in Atlanta last month.

Speaking of law school, I think most of my office knows now where I've decided to go. I sort of let it trickle out rather than making some big announcement. Shame on me I know, I just never got around to formal notifications. Of course everyone is asking me when I'm moving, and truth is, I still have no clue. Mid-August I think. It all hinges on so many things, but that would be my latest. I hate that I have to find a sublet for a month here in town, gr.

In that regard, still no word from UCLA.

It's pouring down rain. And storming. I have my door open a bit to cool my place off, and I'm getting wet despite being a good 7 feet from the edge of my porch (which has a roof on it).

Did manage to secure a cute dress. There may be pictures of it later, but probably not til I wear it next week. It's white with flowers along the top and bottom. Got it at Macy's and was afraid I was going to break the bank, as Macy's is not cheap, but it was $50 off. Yay for sales!

Anyone willing to do a last minute beta on my bsgremix? Since I'm stuck in the house today (it's raining. If you've ever been to Texas while it's raining, you will understand why I don't want to be driving anywhere), I'd like to try and get it submitted today.

Multi-fandom remix is coming along nicely.

I may go dress shopping today. I've got a wedding to go to next weekend, and the only dresses I own are ones I bought in 8th grade (plus my prom dress, but lord knows I don't want to wear that).

Don't worry, I'm not anything like Lt. Thorn. And if you're wondering about my callsign, it's not based on Star Trek, it's based on Law & Order. Damn the politics, I fight for justice!


I was going to go to Sea World tomorrow, but they're calling for thunderstorms all weekend long. Not whee. I'm going a little stir crazy. I head back to Michigan in less than a week, and believe it or not, I actually *want* to go to work, mainly so that it can be next Friday already. I may head to Houston tomorrow just to get out of the house, we'll see.
