I forget if I mentioned it, but I'm having a dental implant put in next Monday. I'm stressed. It's major surgery, my dad has to come down here b/c I have to have someone with me while I'm sedated, and if I'm sick or have any kind of sinus trouble, it's a no go. Meaning dad would have to fly down again. And there's always a chance it could fail. So. Stressed.

Add to that the fact that this procedure costs a fortune. If I can pay it off in small enough increments I should be okay, if not, I really don't know what I am going to do. I'm starting to look for a second job, though I'm not entirely hopeful on that, the economy being what it is.
But when my choices were this or braces again in a year or so, I'd much rather do this. Braces aren't cheap either, and at least for right now I have dental insurance.

I've been accepted at Pepperdine! And they offered me money!

Roundabouts 8:30-8:45, a transformer at my apartment complex blew. I heard this sound like a shotgun, then boom, no lights, nada. Knocked out the power to at least 5 buildings. Sorry if I was talking to you on AIM then and suddenly disappeared. I am at a coffee shop now, using the internets there. Because even activities that don't require power, like say, reading, still require light. Flashlight really wasn't going to cut it. The gym still had power, so I went there and worked out for like 40 minutes. I really hope it's back on before I go to bed tonight, so I will at least have an alarm clock. I have my phone charging here now just in case.

There's a little kid's birthday party going on. They've got a Darth Vader pinata hanging from a tree. It's got a little cape and everything.

Got another acceptance letter today! I've been admitted at Villanova University.

My car has voice controls, and one of the things it does is that you can hit a button, ask what's playing, and it will tell you. I have to say, it is really funny to here my car say "All Day Long I Dream About Sex by JC Chase-ez."

What is your favourite episode of your favourite series?:
Battlestar Galactica: Collaborators. Depressing as it is.
Cold Case: A Perfect Day. Also depressing, and no episode has sent chills up my spine like that one does.
Big Bang Theory: The Maternal Congruence
Quantum Leap: Tough call, b/c there are a lot of episodes I think are great, but I'll go with the one where he leaps into himself as a teenager. Although the one where he becomes Al is really good too.

A show you mean to watch, but you just haven't gotten around to yet: Firefly. Yes, feel free to chastise me now, I've only seen the pilot.

What do you eat when you watch TV? Dinner. I'll put in a dvd during dinner. Otherwise nothing.

How often do you watch TV? Now that I don't have cable, I only watch BBT and Cold Case. When I did have cable, L&O, House reruns, and Mythbusters were on fairly often. Of course, I was also unemployed at the time, and was generally lacking in things to do.

Do you have a favorite talk show? I used to love the Rosie O'Donnell show, but that hasn't been on in years.

What's the last TV show you watched? Big Bang Theory

What's your favourite/preferred genre of TV? Shows that have single episodes plotschemes. Which is usually crime procedurals + House.

What's the weirdest show you enjoyed? this show on Animal Planet that was a dog groomer competition. I was at a relative's house and my cousin was watching it. At first I was like "Really now?" but after a while I was kinda into it.

I got my first acceptance letter today!! Willamette has officially admitted me and offered me a big fat scholarship.
They aren't my top choice, but yay admissions letters!
