Perhaps I should clarify why I was hoping for a better score on the LSAT. I applied to a couple of elite schools, where, unfortunatey, 167 is just average. In other words, the schools I was certain I would get in at I am now certain to get in, but the schools where I wasn't sure on, my score doesn't provide me with a definite no or yes. In other words, I'm about where I started before I took the LSATs. LSAC has sent all my applications and supporting materials off to all the schools I applied to. Now I have to do is wait. *bites nails*

I need to pick up a new charger for my cell phone, as I stupidly left mine back in Michigan. Oops.

Got my LSAT scores today. (Was suprised to see them in my inbox when I checked my email before work this morning. I wasn't expecting them for another week.)
I got a 167.
This is not as good as I had hoped, but I can live with it.

Underwent Operation: Get parents hooked on BSG. I brought home the mini-series and made them both watch it. Dad liked it, mom likes male!Starbuck better. I guess they're both familiar with the 70's version.

Big gaping hole in my mouth. I had a tooth pulled this afternoon after it cracked in half late last week. It was one that needed to come out anyway- it's a baby tooth with no roots. I just never called to get an appointment to get it pulled. I need to find a decent dentist in Austin to get an implant now, so my teeth don't move around. My dentist now, not the best.
For now, I'm in pain, and I can only eat jello. :( They told me I'd be ok by Christmas; I hope so.

Let's talk holiday traditions. Someone at work mentioned that her family doesn't have any Christmas traditions that she could think of.

Do you/your family have any traditions?

We have a...non-traditional tradition in our family. Every year, our gifts don't come "from" the person who actually bought the gift, but from famous people, characters from tv shows, or other random stuff. My mom started it by using people from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer one year, and it's snowballed from there. It's fun, but it's getting tougher to come up with names. :)

Home sick. Am trying to keep breathing through my nose, as the second I open my mouth, all that comes out is *hackhack*. I couldn't get through a full sentence when I called in this morning.

Well, tonight was rather productive. After writing this...essay basically on how I would contribute to UCLA's Critical Race Studies Program, I submitted that (big sigh of relief), and finished my comment on Pepperdine's mission statement, so now that is done. Only 1 more app left!!
