AHAHAHA omg. The very first flashback scene... so the thing with Cold Case is to use popular songs as the backdrop for their flashbacks, usually from the year the crime took place, but othertimes things that just fit, like John Mellencamp for the steelworker episode.
Anyway.
The song that is playing in the first flashback for this episode w/ Bamber? Is All Along the Watchtower.
Excuse me while I die laughing.

At work, they are redoing the interior of the elevators, and the lights are not a lot dimmer. It looks like mood lighting. Cue "Love In An Elevator" running through my head.

Guess what song I heard coming home from work today? :D

I've just finished Forgive Us Our Trespasses! I am sad that it's over, but at the same time I am excited. It was such a fun series to write. Flowed really easily too (except for the firewall testing part in chapter 11. Helo came in and just stopped my creative juices. Darn you Helo!), which is always nice when you're writing something.

Of course, there are still 3 chapters yet to be posted, so look forward to more!

The good: One of the attorneys heard through the grapevine that I was applying to law school and offered to write a letter for me. Yay!

The bad: My backup plan for not being able to go home at Christmas (which I suspect I won't) was to take off a week around my birthday, but the other secretary announced that she is taking that week on vacation, and I can't be off when she is. I now need a plan C.

The ugly: There are still ants in my car.

I've just had the worst afternoon ever. The on ramp I usually get on was closed due to an accident, which backed up traffic for miles. While sitting in my car practically in park, I had time to look around, and discovered that my car was infested with ants. I pulled out of the queue for the next on ramp and went to Randalls to get bug spray ASAP, something that would kill fast and was safe enough to spray in my car. The rest of the drive home, having had to take the back way to avoid the accident mess, I had to keep my windows open, which would not have been so bad except for the fact that it started raining. Not to mention I didn't get home til 6:45.

I give up.

I have figured out a way to potentially visit 5 different colleges while only burning 1 vacation day. Hooray for Texas state holidays!

I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all this. Why couldn't I have decided upon this back in, oh, say, June? The time issues, and the stress issues, and the money issues, not to mention my mom is coming tomorrow and I still have to clean, arg! I almost had a breakdown at work, though that may have been sugar related. I'm not sure.
