Please provide a resume detailing any significant vocational, nonvocational, extracurricular or community activities, graduate work or degrees, honors, awards, any service in the Armed Forces, job descriptions and major areas of responsibility along with dates of employment (month/year), publications, or other information that you believe the Admissions Committee should consider in evaluating your application. Also please include details as to any foreign language proficiencies you possess including the level of ability with regard to speaking, comprehension, reading and writing. Your resume may not exceed three (3) typewritten pages.

Is it just me, or are they asking for my CV? My resume is only 1 page, and doesn't go into too much detail. I've always been taught that a resume should only be 1 page, and a CV can go into details. However, I don't have too many honors or awards (which are listed on my resume), no Armed Forces service, publications, or community activities beyond Meals on Wheels, and thusly my CV mainly details my coursework relevant to whatever position I was applying for.
So.
What do I submit? Resume or CV? And do I retailor it from job-focused or school-focused, or leave it as is?

Did you know that by the end of the 1950s, the rate of population growth in the US was almost the same as it was in Africa? That's nuts!

How do those IDIOTS on the Amazing Race not recognize Jackie Kennedy?

This week's song of the week, in typical fannishness of me, is Gaeta's Lament off the season 4 BSG soundtrack. That's right darnit, my favorite character is not only noble and attractive, he sings too! I realize all the BSG fans on my FL probably have this already, so this is for anyone else who happens to be curious.

Speaking of music, does anyone have Daughtry's Leave This Town album? I bought it a while back, but it won't play in my computer. Not my computer's problem, since all my other cds work fine. Can't return it, it's been too long and I threw away the receipt. Bah.

Funny what pops up when you click on msn's links:

J.C. Chasez
Famous for: Singing as one of the lead singers with the hit boy band 'N Sync.
What's he doing now? Chasez, 33, went solo in 2004 after 'N Sync went on "hiatus." His career is currently more focused on writing and producing music for popular musicians. He's also a judge on MTV's "America's Next Dance Crew."

I've finally mentioned at work to a couple people that I'm going to law school. I don't feel any better about it having mentioned it. :/

My Strachey books have arrived! Yay! I have other things to finish first, though. I'm currently reading The Feminine Mystique. I thought it wouldn't be interesting b/c it'd be outdated, but I'm finding that its obvious time stamp is what makes it interesting. Though the chapter on Freud could probably have been shorter than it was.

Amazon.com has informed me that I get 30% off The Plan if I pre-order it. *is tempted* *will likely buy it*

It's 60 degrees outside. Look, fall is back! For today at least. And I'm freezing, go figure.
I'm going tailgating at work tomorrow. I hear they have excellent brisket. Woot. Yay BBQ! I could care less about the game. Football just isn't my thing. That's like, enough to get me expelled from the state, but oh well.

I found $10 outside my door yesterday. I think I'm going to use it to order pizza.

I've tried watching some Glee videos. The Single Ladies one made me burst out laughing. I like their rendition of Don't Stop Believing, but that's about it. The one brunette chick who sings all the time (I don't watch the show, I don't know names) reminds me of Idina Menzel. Looks like her, sings like her. I find Idina Menzel obnoxious. Thus I can't watch Glee clips without wanting to cringe. Sorry.

I don't know why I'm just recalling this, but, while I was at Schlitterbahn, I was waiting in line for the Coke slides, and I heard a familiar tune playing on the speakers. Lo and behold, it was MMMBop! I started humming and the girl behind me was like, all confused. She was too young to remember the glory days of Hanson. Isn't that sad?

Got to go home 10 minutes early. The power went out! I guess a transformer blew somewhere in the vacinity, and the whole building along with a few others in the area lost power.
Although really, it should have blown at 3pm instead of 4:30. ;)

You know what I've realized? Besides an occassional trip to Panera, Papa Johns, or Wendys for lunch, I rarely ever eat at national chains anymore. It isn't an economic or politic decision, it's just that there are so many good local places around here, I don't bother with the big name stuff anymore. I'm not even close to have tried all the places around here.

In Bridgman, we didn't have those sort of options. One of the good local places, Horsefeathers, closed the year before I left, so the local, reasonably priced options were pretty much Santaniellos, which my mom doesn't like for whatever reason, Schu's in St. Joe, and D'Agostinos. Let me tell you, I was so sick of D'Agostinos by the time I left...
All three of these places are Italian food. Oddly, that's the one thing I haven't seen much of here. I haven't noticed any local Italian places that aren't pizza joints. Just not as big here as it is in Michigan, I guess.

Even Holland was just, what?- 84 East, Taj India, and that Japanese place I can't remember the name of. The last time I ate at a major chain here was...IHOP back in May.

Note to self: I really need to get to Aster's Ethiopian for lunch one day and check out their buffet. Remind me to grab breath mints that day though.
