This morning my boss walked up to me and asked if I was the one working on the "peepeecaca". I burst out laughing. After regaining my composure, I explained that it is the PPACA (Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act). Not how she pronounced it. It made for an entertaining morning.

I think I like Katy Perry's California Girls. I don't want to, because it's Kary Perry, but I do anyway. Plus, the video is CandyLane themed, which is kinda fun.

While we're on the subject of Katy Perry, did you know there was a song back in the 90's called "I Kissed a Girl" by a female artist? I heard it on satellite the other day. Everyone makes such a big hoopla about Perry's song, but it wasn't even a new idea, by about 15 years! Jill Sobule was the artist, and I've never heard of her before. Why no stink about it then?

Plus he's got a Red Wings jacket on, which makes it cool too. :) I googled him, and he is from Michigan. But I don't know how this guy gets any hip-hop cred, b/c he's got a degree from Duke, which is like, one of those penultimate rich white boy universities.
(Does anyone else think he looks sort of like Justin Timberlake?)

Speaking of white rappers, Eminem's got a new one out. I'm on the fence. It's about his drug addiction, I guess, though I'd never heard anything about that before. In all honesty, Eminem is yesterday's news. When he was hot, he was saying things other people weren't, plus he provided a nice counterpoint to a pop-dominated landscape. Now he's really not saying anything new, and the music scene is hip-hop dominated. He's not unique anymore.

I've been in a foul mood today. This is what I get for going back to work after a day of fun and sun. I had to organize the notebooks of an attorney who just retired. This guy kept every draft he ever printed, which is so annoying. My regular attorney generates a lot of paperwork, but he will not ever keep drafts. It's also a little difficult to organize something by subject matter when you aren't familiar with the subject matter.

My part (in my hair. on top of my head.) is sunburnt. I specifically tied my hair back so that I wouldn't have a part, but my ponytail fell out sometime in the afternoon, and that was about the end of that. I do have a nice tan otherwise, which is a rare happening. :)

In good news, the US not only won their game today, they won their group! Whee! I'm bummed that England is in and not Slovenia, but England vs. Germany should make for an interesting match.

Pooped after a long day of not working at all. Yay Schlitterbahn! And the lines weren't bad at all. I think maybe the fact that the park was closed only 2 days ago b/c of flooding in New Braunfels may have something to do with that.


AHAHAHAHA France lost. That's what they get for all their past happenings thusfar this cup.

I finally watched Bridge on the River Kwai last night. It was...different, I guess I'll say. I was never sure if I want to like or be pissed at Alec Guinness' character.

Tomorrow, I'm playing hooky and going to Schlitterbahn!

As I had imagined, the crowd at Cuatros (same place I was at Friday morning) was much rowdier for this game than the Germany game. There were guys with drums and lots of "ole" and such cheering. I think there was one table of African fans, those poor guys. I really expected that game to be closer considering how not so hot Brazil played against North Korea.

I think my head just exploded. Too much boyband on one stage!

Someone at SONY LOVES ME! Justin and Peyton! (Why have I not seen any of these before?)
